The spacious yet cosy two bedroom Ihana log home has a stunning vaulted living area.
We show three variants of the Ihana home here; a single storey option (the Ihana 1), and two versions with an upstairs mezzanine area (the Ihana 2 and Ihana 3 versions). All are shown with two ground floor bedrooms. The Ihana is fully customisable to suit individual tastes and – subject to space and structural requirements – may be reconfigured as you want. For example, omitting the sauna and repurposing that space could provide for an additional bedroom or a much larger bathroom.
You can choose a variety of corner joint options (including a more contemporary dovetail option). All the versions have a practical covered entrance porch (great for taking your wellies off!) and useful large terrace and deck to make the most of the outside space.
You can finish your home externally in virtually any colour(s) – we suggest using a microporous paint which will allow the natural timber walls to breathe. The roof can take almost any roofing material so as to complement the surroundings or comply with planning requirements. The home shown is roofed in felt shingles, but other alternatives include slates, tiles and modern or traditional profiled steel sheeting.
