Our Saimaai log mobile home is a ‘twin unit’ mobile home (notionally 60 x 20ft), with four or five bedrooms and a good sized living/dining/kitchen area – plus a sheltered outside sitting area. The five bedroom version reduces this sitting area a bit, and adjusts the internal layout to add a fifth bedroom – which could also make a great study or home office.
This mobile home is constructed on site from a kit of parts. Shown with an unusual offset roof above (please note that this is an artist’s impression of the general Saimaa range), it can also have a standard pitched roof.
Bedroom 1 is shown with an ensuite shower room, and the main bathroom can be configured with a shower or bath. All the bedrooms have wardrobe space built in. But if the style and layout don’t quite work for you, then we can work with you to adjust the design to work for you.
Our mobile homes have been designed specifically to meet the requirements of the Caravan Act – the twin unit versions should therefore be constructed in two halves so that it could potentially be removed. They can be roofed in almost any material to complement the surroundings (such as roofing felt, shingles, traditional pantiles, slates, tiles and modern or traditional profiled steel sheeting).
The log walls, floor and ceiling can be fully insulated meaning that your mobile home will be beautifully warm, with low running costs. As the building is crafted from solid timber, it will be robust and very long lasting. You can finish your home externally in virtually any colour(s) – we suggest using a microporous paint which will allow the natural timber walls to breathe.
