Our Partners
Our log homes are all sourced from our long-standing partner in Finland – Hirsiset. Family owned and run, like ourselves, you can be sure that between us we’ll take care of your log home project.
We also have relationships with a number of partner organisations and companies who can help with your project.
National Self Build and Renovation Centre
Scandinavian Homes exhibits at the NSBRC in Swindon, which put on events and courses throughout the year. If you are a self builder in the area, you may well find this an invaluable resource, and we can easily arrange to meet you there.
National Custom and Self Build Association
As established members of the National Custom and Self-Build Association (NaCSBA) we are actively involved in helping to make self-build a mainstream choice for all those seeking a home of their own.
This also means we support the NaCSBA Code of Practice meaning that you should see:
• Truthful adverts and marketing materials
• Clear, helpful and adequate pre-contractual information
• Clear, fair contracts
• That staff know about and meet the code
• That members have an effective internal complaints procedure
• If problems cannot be resolved, the company will enter an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) process via NaCSBA or another provider.
You can show your support for NaCSBA and help create more opportunities for the Custom and Self-build sector by registering as a user on the Self Build Portal. Registering allows you access to useful content including information on the Right to Build legislation. As a thank you, you can also benefit from competitive subscription rates for Grand Designs and Build It magazines.

Foundations:
We have established partnerships with companies that provide highly insulated raft foundation systems, which can help you achieve a passive standard of foundation. We also can provide plinth foundations for our smaller buildings. Please contact us for further information.
Home Lifts:
Future-proofing your home
Something to consider is accessibility to your whole house by whoever is living in it, at all stages of their lives. So think about future proofing your home when you design it! While building regulations stipulate that you have to have accessible bathroom facilities on all levels, which naturally all of our houses do, you might also want to consider making it easy to access upstairs and downstairs by adding a lift. Our partner, Platinum Lifts, can help you identify the most appropriate option and will also install it for you.
