The Lapinsaari is a contemporary one bedroom log home, which would be great for use as a holiday home or an annexe (with the appropriate planning permission). It would even make a compact yet surprisingly spacious home for an individual or couple.

A real feature is the full-width rear terrace – just imagine sitting out making the most of a beautiful location. Or alternatively working from home there!

The monopitch roof of the main building adds style, with the roof of the covered rear terrace sloping the other way.

The front door has a covered porch with pillars at the sides, and there’s also access to the plant room / store. The entrance hallway has space for storage, and opens up into the open plan living / kitchen / dining area. You access the bedroom off the living room, and then at the other end of the home there is a utility area with access to a shower room / sauna. As most people in the UK don’t tend to want a sauna, there is plenty of scope for making this area a larger bathroom, additional storage, or even a compact office.

If you’re using this as a holiday home, then the sauna could be a real differentiator though, and could make it much more attractive to let out to couples wanting a luxury escape.

Finally, there’s a sheltered rear door into the utility area /rear hallway, which also has plenty of space for hanging outdoor gear, and a glazed door from the living room opens out onto the covered terrace.
